WAF Fringe Activities
You’re going to be very busy during your days at WAF – learning from globally renowned speakers, being inspired by live crits and and finding out more in the finalist gallery – but make sure you save some time for the extensive and stimulating WAF Fringe.
Plus you will have plenty of opportunities to make some new contacts and extend your global network.
Join us for the WAF welcoming reception, sponsored by Lumion, taking place on Tuesday 3 December 2019 at Mountain House, Zuidpool, Standzuid from 19:00 pm to 21:00pm.
Similarly through out the 3 day festival, many of our partners will be hosting festival hall drinks where you will be able to network and meet your peers from across the globe.

Visit our headline partner ABB at their stand D10 to get your coffee served by “Yumi” barista robot. YuMi® is designed for a new era of automation, for example in small parts assembly, where people and robots work side-by-side on the same tasks. Safety is built into the functionality of the robot itself. YuMi® removes the barriers to collaboration by making fencing and cages a thing of the past. But for WAF, he will show you how to best serve coffee…

A term often ignored by today’s architects was the focus of the exhibition and symposium. Reisner has invited not only architects, but also experts from philosophy, mathematics and neurosciences to discuss their research on beauty. The film features in-depth interviews with curator Yael Reisner, along with participating architects, Sou Fujimoto, KTA, March Studio, Space Popular, Fologram as well as Nick Luscombe (DJ), Graham Harman (philosopher), Ron Aharoni (mathematician) and Taylor Enoch (neuroscientist).
When: 17:45 Wednesday & Thursday, WAF Stage
WAF attendees can also visit the Wastebuild exhibition which is dedicated to accelerating the transition towards a circular built environment. Learn more and register for your free pass to Wastebuild here.
