Yeoryia Manolopoulou is founding partner of AY Architects and Professor of Architecture and Experimental Practice at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL. AY Architects has realised notable projects, including the Montpelier Community Nursery (Winner of a RIBA National Award and the Stephen Lawrence Prize in 2013); and House of Flags, an iconic installation erected on Parliament Square for the London Olympics and Paralympics and visited by millions. Manolopoulou was the co-author of the Irish Pavilion at the 2016 Venice Biennale, presenting a research project and multimedia installation on the subject of dementia, drawing and architecture. In 2014 she was nominated Emerging Woman Architect of the Year. Manolopoulou is the author of Architectures of Chance (Routledge, 2013) and the general editor of the series Bartlett Design Research Folios
