2014 Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards are now open

The Arcaid Images Architectural Photography Awards, sponsored by Sto, celebrates and promotes the art of the architectural photographer. 'Few of us are privileged enough to visit the vast array of new and historic buildings around the world. This means for most people that the experience of the built world, outside our own locale, is via the photographic image' says Lynne Bryant , Managing Director and founder of Arcaid Images.

'As a photo agency that has been working with images of architecture and the built world for 30 years we are pivotal in disseminating images of architecture beyond the architectural press, giving people access to places and spaces they may never visit. The photograph is a gateway to the architecture.’

WAF entrants are encouraged to enter their photographer for the 2014 Awards. The winner will be announced at the Festival in October.

Entry to the Awards is open now until midnight on Monday 30th June 2014.

There are four categories to enter: Exteriors, Interiors, Sense of Place and Buildings in Use.

‘The Award has given me greater exposure to the global architectural community, given me an accolade that consolidates my reputation. It has been a valuable piece of marketing material, it is an award I am proud to have won.’ - 2013 winning photographer Ken Schluchtmann

The award is seen, and judged, by the some of the most knowledgeable and influential professionals within the global architectural and design community. Previous awards have been judged by architects and experts such as Zaha Hadid, Richard Rogers, James Russell from Bloombergs and Cathy Slessor of the Architectural Review. This year’s judges include Sir Terry Farrell and David Jenkins.
