From 2005 to 2008, Petr was the publisher and editor-in-chief of the popular ARX magazine for urban planning and architecture. In 2007 he founded the company TDI (Institute for the Development of Territories). For several years, the institute has developed more than 20 major urban development projects for Moscow and other cities. In 2008, with partners, he founded the Citymakers as multidisciplinary bureau, which implemented and continues to work on a number of landmark projects, such as the ArtKvartal (transforming 500 hectares in Moscow on the banks of the Yauza River to an area for the work and life of creative people), a competition project for territories adjacent to Moscow river (finalist of the international competition), the methodology of sociocultural design for the International competition for the development of concepts of five experimental housing renovation sites in Moscow, the concept of the territory of former Academy of Strategic Missile Forces named after Peter the Great), public spaces of the Allegoria Mosca project at the intersection of Ostozhenka and Prechistenka, a new park in Baku and others. In 2013, the Citymakers bureau, led by Peter as part of a consortium, together with DillerScofidio + Renfro and Hargreaves Associates, won the international competition for the landscape-architectural concept of the Zaryadye park and successfully implemented it.
