Shane O’Toole is an award-winning architect, urban designer and critic. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland and an International Fellow of the RIBA. He was twice Ireland’s Commissioner for the Venice Biennale and has served on the jury of the Mies van der Rohe Award for contemporary European architecture. A member of CICA, the International Committee of Architecture Critics, he was named International Building Press Architecture Writer of the Year in 2008, 2009 and 2010. A collection of his critical essays, 101 Hosannas for Architecture, was published in 2017.
