In May 1994, Issa Diabaté joins the SAU Guillaume Koffi office as Architect Intern, only to come back in 1995 as Architectural Projects Manager. In 2001, Issa Diabaté becomes Guillaume Koffi’s partner with the creation of Koffi & Diabaté Architectes.
Graduated with Master in Architecture from YALE University, from 1991 to 1993 interns in architecture offices in Côte d’Ivoire (Goly Kouassi), the United States (Devrouax and Purnell) and in France (Jean Nouvel et Catani) where he takes part in the “Cité Judiciaire de Nantes” contest. A Member of Côte d’Ivoire’s Order of Architects (CNOA), appointed knight of Cultural Merit, Issa Diabaté who also evolves in the design world, and is a laureate of Senegal’s DAK’ART Contemporary Art Biennale (1998). Most recently, he participated in the exhibitions ABIDJANOW 2013 (Salon ARCHIBAT -Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire) and DESIGN INDABA 2014 & 2017 (Cape Town, South Africa). He is collaborating with the Swedish group IKEA for their first collection by African designers (to be launched in 2019). In 201, The project “Blaise Pascal Secondary School Gymnasium” was awared the World Architecture Festival 2018 prize the best building in the sport category.
