Lilia Koleva is a managing architect of NEUF architect(e)s’ Toronto office, a 150-person design firm with offices in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. A key member of the design team that recently completed the first phase of the CHUM, a large university teaching hospital (in collaboration with CannonDesign), Lilia brings a diverse skillset, depth and energy capable of handling projects of various scales and programs. Over its nearly fifty years of experience, NEUF has evolved into one of the most diversified firms in Canada, working in all sectors of the profession. Currently working on several retail, mixed-use and institutional projects across Canada and abroad, Lilia’s approach emerges from through research and understanding of site, cultural context and public realm. An active member of the Canadian design community, Lilia is actively engaged with the development of the architectural profession, having been an invited guest critic at McGill University’s School of Architecture and University of Toronto, and a speaker at national and international events such as the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Festival of Architecture, Design&Health Conference in Vienna and Bluebeam eXtreme Conference in San Diego, USA. Lilia is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards such as The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada Medal, the AIA Certificate for Merit, two WAF INSIDE awards, two Interior Design's Best of Year Awards, an Architizer A+ Awards, Design+Health Academy Award and others, recognizing the consistently high quality of her work and design approach.
