Director & Associate,
Stanley Lung Wai Cham is Turenscape’s Director and Associate who leads the International Department as the managing, design, and creative director-in charge. His diverse background and multitude training equipped him to be one of the youngest person in Turenscape who is taking up a management role of the office, responsible on all the international project design commissions, competitions, constructions and collaborations for Turenscape. Involved in over 100 design projects at Turenscape in the past 6 years, these key projects range from framework strategies, regional planning, ecological tourism, landscape infrastructure, urban design, architectural buildings and public parks across scales and countries. Recent awarded projects include The Chengtoushan Archelogy Park by WAF Berlin 2017, The Yanweizhou Park by WAF Singapore in 2015, Liupanshui Minghu Wetland Park by ASLA, United States in 2014, and the Harbin Cultural Center Wetland Park by AZ Award Canada in 2016. A few international 1st prize winning projects include the Hangzhou High-Speed Railway West Station, the Kazan Kaban Lake Embankment Landscape Masterplan in Tartarstan, Russia and two projects from the Singapore Rail Corridor competition. Prior to Turenscape, Stanley has worked at award-winning firms in Copenhagen, Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), won and worked on multiple significant 1st prize and prestigious construction project for the office along with the team which includes The Shenzhen Energy Headquarter Mansion, 96,000m2 Twin Towers Complex, The West 57, a 80,000m2 residential complex situated in New York Manhattan that are both under construction. In Toronto and Hong Kong with JET Architecture (JET), MIX Design Studio (MIX), each for few years. He brings extensive project design, coordination, and management experience, by injecting projects with innovation approaches and fresh ideas. Stanley received both his Bachelor and Master Degree of Architecture from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. Beyond his practice experience in the design discipline, he was heavily involved in the media and broadcasting industry professionally in Toronto and served the Chinese community as a News Anchor and Reporter at Singtao A1 Chinese Radio Station – AM 1540, scriptwriter, and producer for WOW TV Station, and Journalist for a bilingual Chinese-English magazine Asiawave in Toronto interviewed influential designers internationally,. In addition, he has established funds and scholarships to support multiple research projects on topics related to Computer Graphic, Architectural Visualization, Product, Furniture, Installation, and Exhibition Design to support educational institutes and young talents. Lung is also invited by different government ministries and public organizations around the world to speak at conferences and give out lectures at forums, focusing on sustainable planning and ecological design. He also serves as jury member on international competitions, awards, as well as session advisors on academic design studio and education programs.
