Akay Zorlu Architects
Akay is founder of Akay Zorlu Architects a London based design studio. Before starting Akay Zorlu Architects he was Director of EAA-Emre Arolat Architecture in their London office and an Associate Director with Maccreanor Lavington in London for nearly a decade. Akay has led a diverse range of projects from masterplans to the design of single buildings in a range of sectors including; mixed-use regeneration, housing, leisure, education, infrastructure, commercial and industrial. He has specific expertise leading mixed-use projects with a focus on creating beautiful, contextual, social, adaptable, sustainable and cost-effective places to live and work. Akay enjoys combining teaching and practice and has taught and lectured at the University of Greenwich, The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College for the Creative Arts, the University of Nottingham, Sheffield Hallam University and the ETH in Zurich. Akay studied at the University of Westminster and the Bartlett School of Architecture in London.
