Deborah Saunt is a Director of the award-winning architecture and urbanism practice DSDHA. Recent examples of their work include several major mixed-use and housing schemes in London as well as a number of innovative education schemes – including the RIBA Stirling Prize shortlisted Christ’s College. Deborah is currently leading the re-design of the public realm to Tottenham Court Road in London’s West End, and the refurbishment of the Smithsons’ iconic Economist Plaza. Besides being a member of various prestigious international advisory boards and judging panels, Deborah is active in both teaching and research. In 2014 she completed a PhD thesis as part of the RMIT Practice Research programme as well as a Research Fellowship in the Built Environment, awarded by the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851. She has taught in Switzerland, USA, Iceland and most recently in Spain, and she is now on the founding faculty for the London School of Architecture (LSA) as well as being a commissioner for the Independent Transport Commission (ITC).
