It has been amazing to be part of the WAF award winning team. When you look across the range and quality of projects put forward for the WAF Awards, to be short listed and then become associated with the overall winner is a momentous achievement for Grant Associates.

Michael Heenan is a principal of Allen Jack+Cottier Architects (AJ+C) in Sydney, Australia with 100 architects in offices across South East Asia.
He is presently designing a number of new cities with disruptive environmental strategies where urbanity and ecology share equal status.
As well as residential, commercial, sporting and educational buildings, Michael enjoys the challenges of new and unique projects such as the largest cooking and dining facility in the world (5,000 seats and 200 chefs), a new living quarters in Antarctica using the latest composite boat building technologies, a 350 metre long car racing facility that seats 2,000 guests, the fitout of a 30 metre boat and a new 6,000 seat sports stadium.
Michael’s role in AJ+C has helped the practice become one of the most recognized in Australia. His participation has resulted in the practice winning international design competitions and numerous Awards for Excellence in Architecture, including consecutive Blacket prizes, Sustainability and Public Architecture Awards.
